The Islamabad Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has announced a zero-tolerance policy against street crimes and drug abuse in the capital. The police force is committed to improving its performance and enhancing law and order by targeting crime hotspots. A seven-day special campaign has been initiated to crack down on criminal activities, particularly drug trafficking and professional begging. The police are also conducting awareness programs, such as 'Nasha Ab Nahe,' to educate the youth about the dangers of narcotics and prevent drug abuse in schools and colleges.
IGP Rizvi emphasized the need for collective efforts to combat the drug mafia and eradicate drug-related crimes. He called for community involvement through seminars and workshops to raise awareness about the curse of drug abuse.
