Mehsud Press Club Delegation Meets Governor Kundi

A recent meeting between a delegation from the Mehsud Press Club in South Waziristan and Governor Faisal Karim Khan Kundi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shed light on various pressing regional matters. The delegation, led by General Secretary MPC Sikandar Hayat and senior journalists Anwar Mehsud, Muhammad Shoaib, and Aslam, engaged in discussions with Governor Kundi regarding challenges faced by journalists and public concerns in the tribal districts, particularly in South Waziristan.

One of the key issues raised during the meeting was the delayed compensation for Mehsud tribes whose homes were destroyed, with payments pending for several years. Additionally, concerns were voiced about the stalled construction of the Waziristan Education City, a project approved by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

President of the Mehsud Press Club, Farooq Mehsud, highlighted the obstacles encountered by journalists in the tribal districts, providing valuable insights to Governor Kundi. The presence of Senior Journalist Jafar Zakuri and Pakistan People's Party Central Leader Akhunzada Chattan added significance to the meeting, with an invitation extended to Governor Kundi to visit South Waziristan, specifically Tehsil Ladha.
