On June 28, 2024, Lieutenant General Muhammad Munir Afsar, the Chairman of the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA), visited the Central Police Office in Lahore. Accompanied by Director General NADRA Lahore Sohail Jahangir, AD Rizwan Ali, and Major Nadeem Gondal, the Chairman was warmly welcomed by IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and senior police officers.

During the visit, Chairman NADRA paid tribute at the Police Martyrs' Memorial, honoring the sacrifices of Punjab Police martyrs. Discussions with IG Punjab focused on strengthening strategic partnerships, enhancing data information sharing, and collaborating on cyber security initiatives.

Chairman NADRA praised Punjab Police's modern infrastructure and technology, underscoring their crucial role in maintaining law and order. He emphasized the significance of NADRA's data sharing in identifying criminals and bolstering security measures.

The meeting highlighted initiatives like Smart Safe Cities and Police Stations projects, designed to enhance public safety. Chairman NADRA toured various public service projects of Punjab Police, lauding their dedication and performance.

As the visit concluded, IG Punjab and the NADRA Chairman exchanged souvenirs, with the IG presenting a book titled 'Thane Punjab De,' showcasing the development of police stations across the province.
