The Punjab Food Authority recently conducted a successful operation in Muzaffargarh to tackle the issue of adulterated milk. This action was taken to ensure the safety and quality of dairy products consumed by the public. Approximately 3500 liters of adulterated milk were confiscated and disposed of following inspections carried out on vehicles passing through the city's main route.

During the inspections, the food safety team utilized a lacto machine to identify adulterated milk in 24 vehicles. As a result, heavy fines were imposed on the owners of these vehicles for their involvement in the distribution of substandard milk.

Asim Javed, the Director General of PFA, highlighted the harmful substances found in the adulterated milk, including water, chemicals, and a lack of essential fats. He stressed the significance of maintaining the quality of essential products like milk to protect the health of consumers.

Javed described the adulterators as criminals who pose a threat to public health and urged the community to stand with the Punjab Food Authority in the fight against such illegal practices.

The crackdown on adulterated milk in Muzaffargarh by the Punjab Food Authority serves as a crucial step towards ensuring food safety and protecting consumers from health risks. It is essential for authorities to continue monitoring and enforcing regulations to prevent the distribution of contaminated food products. By raising awareness about the dangers of consuming adulterated milk, the public can play a vital role in supporting efforts to maintain the integrity of our food supply.
