The Punjab government introduces the Mobile Clinic program in Bahawalpur to provide healthcare services to underprivileged urban slum residents, aiming to improve accessibility and well-being.

The Mobile Clinic initiative has been introduced in Bahawalpur, in line with the healthcare vision of the Punjab Chief Minister, similar to other districts in Punjab. This program was inaugurated by the Punjab Chief Minister's Initiative Program Convener MPA Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq Khan and Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Zaheer Anwar Jappa in Muhajir Colony.

The Punjab government's Mobile Clinic program aims to bring healthcare services directly to the underprivileged residents in urban slums. To support this noble cause, the Punjab government has allocated 7 vehicles and medical supplies for the Mobile Clinic program in Bahawalpur district.

MPA Dr. Rana Muhammad Tariq and the Deputy Commissioner highlighted that the Mobile Clinic program is a pioneering initiative by the Punjab government for public welfare. They instructed the District Health Authority officials to ensure that the benefits of this citizen-centric program reach the urban slum residents.

During their visit to the camp, they interacted with the patients, inquiring about the healthcare services provided. They also emphasized the importance of follow-up care for patients who visited the camp.

Dr. Khalid Mahmood Arain, the District Coordinator Health, shared that hospital-like ambulances, an ultrasound vehicle, and 6 teams have been designated to offer healthcare services to urban slum dwellers. Each team consists of a doctor, dispenser, vaccinator, lady health supervisor, and nutrition supervisor. These teams, including lady health workers, visit homes in urban slums to raise awareness about the Mobile Clinic program and available healthcare services, enabling people to access healthcare facilities at nearby camps.

The launch of the Mobile Clinic initiative in Bahawalpur signifies a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility for underprivileged communities. This innovative program not only brings medical services closer to those in need but also emphasizes the importance of proactive healthcare outreach. With dedicated teams and resources in place, the Mobile Clinic program is set to make a positive impact on the well-being of urban slum residents in Bahawalpur.
