The Punjab Youth Affairs Department introduces yoga classes for parents at the Summer Sports Camp to promote health and fitness. The initiative aims to engage parents in healthy activities while nurturing young athletic talent and fostering a sports culture in the province.

The Punjab Youth Affairs Department has launched a new initiative aimed at promoting health and fitness among parents, particularly mothers, by offering yoga classes during the upcoming summer sports camp. The goal is to engage mothers in a beneficial activity while their children participate in the camp, ensuring they stay active and prevent boredom during their children's training sessions.

The initiative, endorsed by Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Malik Faisal Khokhar, is in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and builds on the success of past events like the CM Pink Games and Summer Games. The Summer Camps, running from June 25 to August 3, will feature a range of sports activities for school children aged 5 to 16, such as athletics, archery, and badminton, in Lahore and other divisions of the province.

The primary objective of these camps is to discover and nurture young athletic talent at the grassroots level. A selection committee will closely monitor participants' performance, identifying individuals with potential for further training and development based on their skills and commitment. Registration for the Summer Camps is available online or in person at the Sports Board Punjab office.

Director General of Youth Affairs Punjab, Pervez Iqbal, stressed that the Summer Sports Camps will not only foster a sports culture throughout the province but also deliver high-quality sports training under expert guidance. He urged young participants to seize this opportunity to improve their sports abilities and fitness levels at the state-of-the-art facilities of the Sports Board Punjab.

The introduction of yoga classes for parents at the Summer Sports Camp reflects a proactive approach by the Punjab Youth Affairs Department to promote holistic well-being among families. By encouraging parental involvement in healthy activities, the initiative not only enhances the camp experience for mothers but also sets a positive example for children regarding the importance of staying active and fit. Through initiatives like these, Punjab aims to cultivate a generation of young athletes and promote a culture of sports and wellness across the province.
