The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasts scorching heatwave in Lahore and Punjab, urging residents to stay hydrated and take precautions against rising temperatures.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted ongoing hot and dry weather in Lahore and parts of Punjab due to prevailing continental air across the country. Dust-raising winds and windstorms are expected in areas like Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Rajanpur.

Daytime temperatures are set to rise with no significant rain systems in sight. Lahore is expected to experience temperatures between 38-41 degrees Celsius in the coming days. Similarly, Karachi, Hyderabad, and other Sindh districts have been facing hot and humid conditions, with Bahawalpur and Multan recording maximum temperatures of 41°C.

Evening relative humidity levels have been around 21-25% in these regions, indicating the persistence of hot and dry conditions. With minimal chances of rainfall, the weather is likely to remain unchanged for the next few days.

As Lahore and parts of Punjab brace for continued hot and dry weather, residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to combat the rising temperatures. It is essential to keep cool and avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during this period of intense heat.
