Chief Minister Gandapur demands fair electricity treatment

The ongoing dispute between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the federal government regarding loadshedding has intensified. Gandapur has implemented a strict 12-hour loadshedding schedule and has warned against any violations in any area. In asserting the province's rights, Gandapur has demanded the immediate release of Rs16 billion owed to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by the federal government. He has warned of seeking assistance from the IMF if the funds are not disbursed promptly. Gandapur has emphasized that the province will not retreat in claiming what rightfully belongs to it.

Protests have erupted in major cities and towns of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa against the discriminatory electricity supply, resulting in traffic disruptions and public outrage. PTI leaders, including Asad Qaiser, have joined the demonstrations and have announced plans to protest both in the National Assembly and on the streets. The situation remains tense as citizens continue to demand uninterrupted power supply and fair treatment from the federal government.
