CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif's 'Dastak Program' Empowers Punjab Youth

Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the 'Dastak' program has been introduced to provide employment opportunities for young individuals in Punjab. This initiative, part of the 'Maryam Ki Dastak program,' aims to expand services to all districts gradually, ensuring people can access necessary services conveniently.

The 'Dastak Program' leverages technology to combat corruption and exploitation while offering a source of income for youth representatives. To qualify, individuals must meet specific criteria, including possessing an original CNIC, being at least 18 years old, having a minimum intermediate education, and owning a mobile phone with internet access. Additionally, they need a police clearance certificate, a personal motorcycle, and a valid license. Selected representatives will undergo training to provide efficient services.

CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of parliamentary democracy on the International Day of Parliamentary System of Government. She highlighted the role of parliament in upholding justice, equality, transparency, accountability, and citizen representation. The establishment of a Parliamentary Development Unit and Research Centre in the Punjab Assembly aims to support Assembly Members in upholding democratic principles, safeguarding human rights, and promoting citizen participation in democracy.

The 'Dastak Program' in Punjab, spearheaded by CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif, not only aims to create job opportunities for youth but also focuses on enhancing public services and promoting democratic values. By empowering young individuals and leveraging technology, Punjab is taking significant steps towards a more transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric governance system.
