Commissioner Silwat Saeed Cracks Down on Price Gouging

During a meeting held on Monday, Commissioner Silwat Saeed emphasized the importance of ensuring that essential food items like roti and naan remain affordable for the general public. She highlighted that the primary objective of reducing the prices of these items is to alleviate the financial burden on ordinary citizens.

To enforce the new pricing regulations, Commissioner Silwat Saeed has instructed the special branch to closely monitor and report on the implementation of the revised rates. By cracking down on those who engage in price gouging, the authorities aim to protect consumers from unfair practices and promote a more equitable marketplace.
