District Population Welfare Officer Urges Population Control Efforts

In Mardan, the issue of increasing population has become a major concern, as highlighted by District Population Welfare Officer Nosherawn Khattak. During a seminar titled 'Balance of Population and Resources,' organized in collaboration with UNFPA at the press club, Khattak emphasized the urgent need to address the imbalance between population size and available resources in the region.

The seminar, attended by various officials including special guest Bashir Adil, President of the Mardan Press Club, Deputy District Officer Khalid Usman, and Tehsil Officer Takhtbhai Shahid Ali, aimed to raise awareness among young individuals about the importance of family planning and resource management before marriage.

Khattak pointed out the presence of reproductive health centers and welfare services across the district, highlighting the support and guidance provided to married couples. Adil stressed the significance of population control in the face of economic and energy challenges, urging collaboration among academics, media, and civil society to find effective solutions.
