The Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department intercepts a major drug smuggling attempt on the Nowshera-Peshawar GT Road, leading to the seizure of 120 kg of hashish and 1000g of ice-drug. Three suspects arrested as part of ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking.

The Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department recently made a significant breakthrough in their fight against drug trafficking. During an operation on the Nowshera-Peshawar GT Road, the department's team intercepted a suspicious vehicle and uncovered a major narcotics smuggling attempt.

The authorities at the Ajab Bagh check post in the Mardan Region Excise Police discovered a staggering 120 kilograms of hashish and 1000 grams of ice-drug hidden inside the vehicle. The estimated value of the seized narcotics runs into millions of rupees, highlighting the scale of the illegal activity.

Following the interception, the police arrested three individuals involved in the drug trafficking scheme. The suspects, identified as Sadiq Hayat, Zubair Khan, and Gul Khatar, come from different areas, emphasizing the widespread nature of the illicit drug trade.

A case has been filed against the accused at the Mardan Region Excise Police Station, signaling the start of further investigation and legal proceedings to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The crackdown on drug dealers continues unabated, in line with the directives issued by Secretary Excise Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah and Director General Excise Ahmad Zaib. The department's relentless efforts aim to curb the menace of narcotics trafficking and protect the community from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
