Excise Department in Peshawar Region Cracks Down on Drug Smugglers

In a significant crackdown, the Excise Department officials in Peshawar Region conducted two major operations resulting in the recovery of a total of 48 kilograms of drugs and the arrest of drug smugglers. The operations, carried out with precision, led to the apprehension of individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.

The first operation took place on the Motorway Service Road towards Akbar Pura, where 36 kilograms of hashish were seized from a loader. The accused, identified as Arshad Khan, was promptly arrested by the Excise Police officials. Subsequently, another successful operation was executed at H Gol Chowk, resulting in the recovery of 12 kilograms of drugs from a vehicle, leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.

Both cases have been formally filed at the Excise Police Station in Peshawar Region for further investigation and legal proceedings.
