The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Minister, Syed Qasim Ali Shah, recently inaugurated the District Health Information System-2 (DHIS 2) to enhance health reporting mechanisms in the region. This initiative aims to streamline data collection and analysis for better healthcare management.

During the inauguration, Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah emphasized the significance of DHIS 2 in advancing health reporting capabilities. He highlighted that the implementation of this system was crucial for efficient resource allocation and service monitoring within the health department.

Initially, DHIS 2 is being rolled out in five districts as part of a pilot program. Minister Syed Qasim Ali Shah confirmed that training sessions for DHIS 2 would continue in other districts, with plans to extend the upgraded system across the entire province in the near future.
