In a recent development, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Ghulam Nabi Memon, has taken significant steps to ensure the safety and security of Chinese citizens residing and working in the province. The Special Protection Unit (SPU) has been designated with the crucial task of implementing thorough security measures for the Chinese community. A specialized four-member committee, comprising Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGPs) from various units, has been established to supervise the security arrangements for Chinese nationals. This committee will continuously evaluate and enhance security protocols in alignment with established guidelines.

During a recent meeting at the Central Police Office in Karachi, DIGP SPU delivered a detailed presentation on the current security strategies in place for safeguarding Chinese residents in the province.
