Karachi Administration Launches Digital Domicile Desk for Citizens

The Karachi administration, led by Commissioner Syed Hassan Naqvi, has taken a significant step towards improving citizen services by launching a Digital Domicile Desk at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Korangi. This initiative aims to streamline the process of issuing domiciles and eliminate delays that citizens often face.

Commissioner Naqvi personally engaged with applicants to gather feedback on the new facility and stressed the importance of transitioning to online domicile issuance. The digital system involves various counters where applicants can submit necessary documents like CNIC, educational certificates, and proof of residence for scanning, along with government fee challans.

One of the key features of this modern approach is the permanent storage of applicant records, with each issued domicile containing a QR code for quick verification. Deputy Commissioner Jawad Muzaffar highlighted the administration's commitment to delivering domiciles directly to applicants' doorsteps, reducing the hassle of visiting the DC office.

In a recent meeting chaired by Commissioner Karachi, discussions were held on enhancing civic amenities, addressing traffic issues, clearing encroachments, improving cleanliness, managing construction debris, regulating illegal parking, and enforcing government tariffs. The administration's focus remains on enhancing the overall quality of life in the district.
