The District Administration has imposed a ban on construction activities in Murree to protect the environment and curb illegal constructions until the master plan is finalized.

In a bid to protect the scenic beauty and environment of Murree, the District Administration has enforced a ban on all construction activities until the Murree master plan is finalized. This decision comes in response to numerous violations of government construction regulations that have been observed in the region.

According to a notification issued by the Commissioner Rawalpindi office, the ban aims to curb illegal constructions that have been causing disruptions to the local community's way of life. These violations include soil erosion, encroachments, and illegal deforestation, all of which have been detrimental to the natural surroundings of Murree.

The ban encompasses construction activities along the Murree Expressway, with the exception of government development projects. This measure, authorized under Section 4(d) of the Punjab Civil Administration Act, is intended to mitigate the negative impacts of unauthorized constructions on the area's infrastructure and ecology.

It is crucial for residents and visitors alike to adhere to these regulations to ensure the preservation of Murree's unique environment for future generations to enjoy.
