Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, leading the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation under the People's Party's administration, has unveiled a comprehensive plan for development across the city. With the backing of the Sindh government, the KMC is actively involved in various projects spanning fifty towns, aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving living standards.

One of the key initiatives includes the restoration of roads in UC 25 and 26 Korangi, with a substantial budget of 100 million allocated for the construction of concrete streets in these areas. The focus extends to both central city zones and suburbs, with plans to revamp roads into model thoroughfares, commencing from Shahra-e-Pakistan.

Noteworthy projects in the pipeline involve the construction of a flyover at Korangi number 2 ½ and the enhancement of roads such as 14000 and 9000. Efforts are also underway to tackle issues like treating sewage from Korangi industries with chemical water and addressing lighting deficiencies in Karachi streets.

Mayor Wahab reiterated the commitment to transparent resource utilization for Karachi's progress, aligning with the People's Party's vision of upliftment. Ongoing initiatives to improve water supply to the city are expected to yield visible results soon. Additionally, steps are being taken to resolve the tax collection dispute on sacrificial animals, ensuring fair distribution between KMC and town authorities through a dedicated commission.

Mayor Wahab expressed confidence in reaching a legal resolution to ensure compliance with regulations and fair market practices across Karachi, fostering a more equitable environment for all stakeholders.

The concerted efforts led by Mayor Wahab and the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation underscore a commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth in Karachi. With a focus on transparency, efficiency, and community welfare, these initiatives are poised to transform the city's landscape and enhance the quality of life for its residents. As Karachi marches towards a brighter future, the vision of progress championed by Mayor Wahab sets a promising trajectory for the city's evolution.
