An assistant teacher at Girls' Primary School Umri in Muskara block of Hamirpur district in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur Lok Sabha constituency has been suspended for misconduct during polling. The polling officer, Ashish Kumar Arya, was found taking selfies with his mobile phone while photographing voters at polling station 112 of Shri Vidya Mandir Inter College. This action was a clear violation of the Election Commission's instructions, leading to Arya's suspension by the District Basic Education Officer, Hamirpur.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Navdeep Rinwa confirmed the suspension, stating that Arya's behavior was inappropriate and against the guidelines set by the EC. Following the incident, Arya was reassigned to Block Resource Centre, Muskara, as a consequence of his actions on the polling day.
