The Women Harassment Committee at SABS University, in collaboration with FOSPAH, organized an awareness seminar on workplace harassment, emphasizing women's role in the workforce and commitment to a harassment-free environment.

The Women Harassment Committee at SABS University Jamshoro, in partnership with the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at Workplace, recently organized an awareness seminar on workplace harassment. The event took place at Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design, and Heritage in Jamshoro, with a focus on educating attendees about the Workplace Harassment Act.

During the seminar, Regional Head Sindh of the Federal Ombudsperson for Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace, Sabiqa Shah, emphasized the importance of women participating in the workforce due to the economic challenges faced by many households. She highlighted that the FOSPAH operates as an independent court, addressing harassment cases for all genders and ensuring resolution within ninety days of filing a report.

Assistant Registrar FOSPAH, Sindh, Uffaifah Samo, and Assistant Law Officer, FOSPAH, Sindh, Muhammad Aliyan, shared concerning statistics about women's safety in Pakistan, noting the high incidence of harassment on public transport and the lack of effective response from authorities. They underscored FOSPAH's commitment to fairness, transparency, and prompt resolution of complaints to improve public services.

Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto expressed gratitude to the FOSPAH team for organizing the seminar and pledged to create a harassment-free environment at SABS University. The event drew a significant turnout of students, faculty, and staff, signaling a collective effort to combat workplace harassment and promote a safe campus environment.
