Pakistan Meteorological Department predicts relief from heatwave in Punjab

The weather forecast for Lahore and parts of Punjab predicts relief from the intense heat as rain, wind, and thunderstorms are expected over the next few days. Faisalabad, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and other places may also experience light rain, wind, and thunderstorms.

This wet spell is anticipated to bring temperatures back to normal levels over the weekend, as recent temperatures have been higher than usual by 3-5 degrees Celsius in Punjab. Lahore is expected to have maximum temperatures ranging from 39-41°C on Friday and Saturday. Recent heatwave conditions have been prevalent in Lahore and other parts of the province, with Dera Ghazi Khan recording the highest temperature at 46°C. Relative humidity levels have been low, with Lahore experiencing a maximum temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 31% during the evening.
