Chief Minister Maryam directs flood prevention measures in Punjab

During her visit, Chief Minister Maryam inspected the central control room of PDMA, where she reviewed the Weather Portal, Flood Forecasting Division, and Flood Simulation Model. Officials from various departments provided a comprehensive briefing on the province's flood preparedness measures, focusing on monitoring districts for potential flooding risks.

The briefing also addressed the anticipated above-average rainfall in Pakistan over the next three months and the condition of essential water infrastructure such as barrages, canals, and drainage systems. Chief Minister Maryam, accompanied by senior provincial ministers and officials, engaged in discussions on proactive strategies to mitigate flood risks and ensure the safety of the population.
