Under the leadership of Commissioner Marryam Khan, a dedicated team of medical professionals from Shahbaz Sharif Hospital recently conducted a medical camp at Afiyat Old Age Home. This initiative was in response to the 'Clinic on Wheels' program spearheaded by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, with the primary goal of offering comprehensive health check-ups to the elderly residents residing at the home.

During the camp, Commissioner Khan also unveiled plans for various enhancements at the facility, such as the installation of solar panels, restroom repairs, and the provision of air coolers. Emphasizing the significance of elderly care, she underscored the community's duty to provide support and care for senior citizens.

Dr. Zohaib, the Medical Superintendent at Shahbaz Sharif Hospital, supervised the health assessments and screenings for the 40 elderly individuals at the old age home. The residents received free medications for conditions like diabetes and hepatitis, and arrangements were made for regular check-ups to ensure ongoing care.

The medical camp organized at Afiyat Old Age Home not only provided essential health services to the elderly residents but also highlighted the importance of community support for senior citizens. Through initiatives like these, the well-being of our elderly population can be safeguarded, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve.
