Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) successfully apprehended thousands of electricity thieves, imposing hefty fines and demonstrating a commitment to fair power distribution.

Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) has made significant strides in combating electricity theft within its jurisdiction. Over a span of 269 days, FESCO's anti-theft campaign resulted in the apprehension of 8632 individuals involved in illegal power consumption. These offenders have collectively been fined a staggering amount of Rs.883.6 million for their actions.

Throughout the duration of the campaign, FESCO's dedicated anti-theft teams diligently identified and captured electricity thieves across six distinct circles under their purview. The fines levied on these culprits sum up to Rs.883.6 million, with legal actions initiated against 8513 accused individuals.

The relentless efforts of FESCO have led to the successful arrest of 6688 electricity thieves, facilitating the recovery of Rs.639.3 million in fines. The calculation of fines was based on the detection of power theft at multiple locations within the various circles.

Specifically, in the First Circle Faisalabad, a total of 2039 instances of electricity theft were uncovered, resulting in fines amounting to Rs.203.5 million. The Second Circle Faisalabad witnessed the apprehension of 1570 electricity thieves, who were fined Rs.162.3 million. Jhang Circle recorded 982 cases of theft, with fines totaling Rs.101.9 million.

Moreover, Sargodha Circle saw 1256 electricity thieves fined Rs.136.2 million, Mianwali Circle penalized 2197 consumers with fines totaling Rs.209.7 million, and Toba Tek Singh Circle fined 588 power pilferers Rs.69.8 million.

FESCO's resolute efforts in combating electricity theft have not only resulted in significant fines imposed on offenders but have also underscored the company's commitment to ensuring fair and lawful distribution of electricity resources to the community.
