Divisional Commissioner Ahsan Qureshi and Deputy Commissioner Tariq Qureshi inspect post-rainfall situation in Hyderabad, emphasizing proper functioning of pumping stations and disaster management strategies.
Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Ahsan Qureshi, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Tariq Qureshi, conducted a thorough inspection of various areas in the city to assess the impact of recent rainfall. The officials visited Qasimabad, Latifabad, taluka rural, and taluka city to evaluate the post-rain situation. Additionally, they inspected key locations such as Tulsi das, LD pumping station, Mir Ali Shah, and other pumping stations to oversee the water drainage process.
Commissioner Ahsan Qureshi emphasized the importance of ensuring the proper functioning of pumping stations and instructed relevant officers to take all necessary measures in this regard. He specifically directed officials to maintain a steady supply of generators and an adequate amount of diesel to prevent any disruptions in water discharge. Furthermore, he urged HESCO officers to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply to minimize inconvenience for the residents.
During the visit, various officers were present to coordinate and address the challenges posed by the rainfall in Hyderabad. The proactive approach taken by the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner reflects their commitment to addressing the needs of the community and ensuring effective disaster management strategies are in place.
