Chief Secretary Punjab conducts surprise visit to Murree hospital

Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman conducted a surprise visit to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Murree to assess the treatment facilities on Friday evening. During the visit, he inspected various departments of the hospital, including emergency, laboratory, OPD, and the medical store, focusing on the quality of cleanliness. He interacted with patients under treatment to gather feedback on the health services provided by the hospital administration.

Dr. Abdul Salam Abbasi, the Medical Superintendent of THQ Hospital, briefed the Chief Secretary on the treatment facilities, availability of medical staff, and other relevant matters. Zahid Akhtar Zaman emphasized that the Punjab Government is committed to ensuring quality health facilities. He highlighted the efforts of CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz in enhancing healthcare services across the province, emphasizing the modernization of health facilities.

The Chief Secretary assured that the shortage of medical staff at THQ Hospital Murree would be addressed promptly. He instructed the hospital administration to ensure the provision of free medicines to patients in all treatment cases. The visit was also attended by Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak, RPO Babar Sarfraz, DC Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, and other officials from the administrative and health departments.
