LESCO and NTDC Restore Power After Sabzazar Grid Station Fire

A major fire broke out at the Sabzazar grid station in Lahore, causing a significant disruption in the city's power supply. The incident was triggered by an explosion at the 220kV grid station on Bund Road, impacting a total of 12 grid stations managed by the Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO). Both the 220kV and 132kV grid stations sustained damage as a result of the explosion and subsequent fire.

Within seven hours, electricity was successfully reinstated in Sabzazar, along with neighboring regions like Scheme Morr, Samanabad, Iqbal Town, Chauburji, Mansoora, Multan Chungi, and Hanjarwal.
