Federal Minister Enge Amir Muqam criticizes PTI for vandalism, questions law enforcement actions, and emphasizes ethical leadership and responsible governance.

Federal Minister Enge Amir Muqam recently addressed a range of pressing issues during a press conference, where he criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for their involvement in vandalism, questioned the actions of law enforcement agencies, and called upon political leaders to prioritize public welfare over personal agendas. His emphasis on upholding the law, avoiding unnecessary conflicts, and advocating for responsible governance and ethical leadership underscored the need for a cohesive and law-abiding society.

During the conference, Minister Muqam specifically condemned the PTI for the vandalism that occurred on May 9, 2023, labeling it as an act against the state of Pakistan. He raised concerns about the apparent immunity of the PTI founder in serious legal cases, stressing that adherence to the law should be universal, with no exceptions for any individual.

Furthermore, Muqam expressed disappointment in the actions of the Peshawar police, particularly their raid on the residence of an opposition Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA). He urged the Leader of the Opposition in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to address this issue promptly and ensure justice prevails.

The Minister suggested that external influences may have played a role in the police's actions, leading to the inclusion of multiple legal charges in the FIR against the opposition lawmaker. He also criticized the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for making statements that seemed irrational and advised him to focus on resolving public issues rather than pleasing his superiors.

Highlighting the ethical stance of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Muqam pointed out that the party refrained from engaging in vandalism following the disqualification of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister. Sharif's commitment to upholding the law and facing legal challenges with determination served as a model for responsible political behavior.

In a final critique, Minister Muqam expressed disapproval of the provincial cabinet of a financially struggling province holding a meeting in Islamabad, questioning the appropriateness of such actions given the economic challenges faced by the region.
