The Federal Investigation Agency conducts crackdowns in Peshawar Zone to combat counterfeit medicine distribution, seizing a significant number of spurious drugs for further verification.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) recently carried out a series of crackdowns in Peshawar Zone to combat the distribution of spurious medicines. During these operations, a significant number of medicines, injections, and pills were seized for further verification in laboratories. The targeted areas included Namak Mandi, Stagadai Plaza Mall Road, Baku Dher Mardan, and surrounding localities where inspections led to the discovery and confiscation of banned medications.
Following the confiscations, inquiries were promptly launched against the proprietors of medical stores and pharmacies suspected of involvement in the illicit trade of counterfeit drugs. However, the registration of cases is pending until the laboratory reports confirm the authenticity of the seized items.
The crackdowns conducted by the FIA in Peshawar Zone serve as a crucial step towards ensuring public health and safety by eliminating the circulation of spurious medicines. The agency's efforts to curb the distribution of banned drugs underscore the importance of stringent regulatory measures in the pharmaceutical sector.
