The Lahore Development Authority is cracking down on unauthorized housing schemes in Lahore, demolishing illegal constructions to uphold urban planning standards.

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has recently intensified its efforts to combat unauthorized housing schemes and land subdivisions in Lahore. This crackdown comes as a response to the growing issue of illegal constructions in various parts of the city.

One of the recent operations conducted by LDA targeted the Hadaya Housing Scheme located on Canal Bank Road. During this operation, LDA teams demolished infrastructure and partially razed illegal constructions. Additionally, the enforcement teams dismantled the sewerage system, roads, and other facilities in Central Square on Ferozepur Road.

Another significant action took place in Daman City on Multan Road, where illegal houses built on land designated for a graveyard were demolished. The enforcement wing, with the support of heavy machinery and the police, carried out these operations under the supervision of Director Assad Ullah Cheema and Chief Town Planner Azhar Ali.

LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has stressed the importance of maintaining this rigorous campaign against unauthorized housing schemes and land subdivisions in Lahore. The directive is to continue the indiscriminate operation to uphold the city's urban planning standards.

The crackdown on unauthorized housing schemes by the Lahore Development Authority is a crucial step towards ensuring proper urban planning and preventing illegal constructions in the city. By taking strict actions against violators, the LDA aims to maintain the integrity of Lahore's infrastructure and uphold the standards of urban development. It is essential for residents to adhere to legal guidelines and regulations to promote sustainable growth and a well-organized urban environment.
